Climate performance
Early spring hot and alternating with frequent rainfall End of April and May with average seasonal temperatures. Summer hot and alternating with some precipitation with temperatures in the middle of the period, with some peak. Good all September and October Budding and all the vegetative trends have been strongly anticipated. The grapes already in mid-September showed particularly high sugar content and acidity levels below the average. , also good the regular accumulation of noble polyphenolic substances.
Vines Sangiovese with small berries with a small addition of Canaiolo.
Harvest carried out manually from 16 to 28 September.
Vinification obtained in stainless steel containers with a maximum temperature of 28 °, with 12-14 days of maceration.
Refining carried out in stainless steel and part in oak carats of 225 and 500 litres of second and third passage for 12 months, followed by a minimum of 3 months of refinement in the bottle.
Production 7,000 barrel. by Lt. 0.750.
Chemical Analysis Alcohol 13.50% vol.
Organoleptic Analysis Elegant wine with a very intense ruby red colour with slight garnet reflections, very intense and complex bouquet, with notes of ripe red fruits, violets, spices and oak, large structure, balanced with dense tannins well mixed with notes of fruit, tobacco and spices, persistent and pleasant in the final.
